We’re doing our best to secure all of the existing translation and literacy materials in Aekyom and Pa (Pare). A shout out to Cecily Brenton with Wycliffe Australia who has agreed to help find everything, type up whatever exists only in paper, and upgrade old digital files to current software standards. A huge job!
One of the ironies of our work is that the most interesting things happen where we have the least access to the internet. In our village area we can at best establish a weak cell tower connection at the „Twin Palms“, a spot under two coconut palmtrees – not enough to send out a newsletter. To do some catching up, Johanna and I have come just „south of the border“ to Cairns, Australia. We are slowly getting ourselves organised again for better long-distance communication. Stay tuned!
